Sir, I write following a poor experience having visited Oban recently in the new year.
While visiting friends, my partner and I had booked a room at the Columba Hotel. Upon arrival, we were disgusted to find black mould growing in almost every corner of the room we were given. To the credit of management, we were given an alternative room without question. However, surely this room should never have been offered to guests.
Once settled into a clean room, we were disturbed in the small hours of the morning by a drunk couple entering our room. They had obviously been allocated the same room by mistake. Surely a better system would have avoided this.
