Western Isles MP Angus MacNeil, pictured below, attended an event in parliament on July 11, organised by Arthritis Research UK, to hear about life with the condition and learn how aids and adaptations in the home can help people live independently.
The event followed the launch of Arthritis Research UK’s Room to Manoeuvre report, which looks at the importance of aids and adaptations to people with arthritis.
MPs tried a variety of home aids and heard from people with the condition about how grab rails or specialised kitchen equipment, etc, have changed their lives.
