Social media

This is International Pooper Scooper Week. We asked on social media: ‘Do people pick up after their pooches where you live?’

Saskia Cheney replied emphatically: ‘No! The whole town is disgusting! I can’t walk into town with my son without constantly warning him about the dog muck everywhere! Gives a bad name to the majority who do pick up.’

Willie Reid disagreed: ‘I’d say 99 per cent of dog owners in Oban already do. I’ve never seen these areas that are supposedly awash with dog turds. I do see loads of broken glass, vomit, and takeaway wrappers strewn everywhere, so how about a campaign against that.’
