New yoga teachers – in fact, all yoga teachers – are encouraged at some point to step forward and find their true voice. But how? It’s easy enough saying it, but finding that authentic light that shines through and projecting it out to the world is an altogether different matter.
And yet it is important to know that it is certainly there, just waiting for you to discover. It’s just a question of finding it. In fact, creators of any kind must find their voice. We are all writers, musicians, marketers, designers, programmers, parents, builders, as well as yoga instructors. Yet we are not truly expressing ourselves, and speaking the truth, until we have found our voice: the tone, style, tenor, pitch, personality, spirit even, that we use to express ourselves fully to the outer world. Our voice is our essence, writ plain for the world to see.
