Darwin Leonard Prakash: ‘I had to decide if I should leave my life, my friends and family and go to England’

What a difference a day makes. On a June morning in 2014, Darwin Leonard Prakash, a 21-year-old geology student in Delhi, was noisily celebrating the end of his final exams with his friends. After giving him a trial singing lesson, he asked if Darwin would like to join him in England for intensive vocal training, with a view to applying to London’s Royal Academy of Music.
