Patchwork and Quilting  |  December 2017
So what’s in this packed issue? I just love Marian Turner’s Noughts and Crosses Quillow, such a great idea! As is usual for our December issue when we’ve all got a lot on our plates, we have lots of small, quick projects for you. The Christmas Star Table Runner can be made in a jiffy to adorn your table this holiday season, or if you prefer your table runners square, why not try the Christmas Bows Table Centre? We have a bit of slow stitching with the redwork Winter Cottage which reminds me of cosy winters and the fleece backing on the Tilting Squares quilt is just the job. Ruth Lazarus brings us the delightful Robin Tree wall hanging and we make the last of Margaret Lee’s wonderful garden series cushions, Wellie Boots and Nasturtiums Cushion.
Helen shows us all the winning quilts and some of her favourites from the recent West Country Quilt and Textile Show. We also take a look at a couple of touring exhibitions; Quilt Art: Dialogues recently made a trip back to the UK while I show you some of the quilts from Walks of Life, a selection of quilts from The Quilters’ Guild Collection. We also look at Unbroken Threads an exhibition on brocade in India.
