We’ve said it time and time before we know, but it’s definitely worth saying again. The VW scene really is a fantastically diverse and varied place to get your car culture kicks. Whether you like all show and no go, pure performance or a little bit of both, there’s never a shortage of incredible metal out there to get you going. And what better proof of the scene today’s diversity than what we’ve got going on in this very issue. We’ve got Tobi Aldrich and his very special Mk1 Jetta sharing space with a pair of totally off the wall VW-powered performance machines totally unlike anything else from HR Engineering, a homegrown Mk2 `G60 battling it out with a what has to be the ultimate Mk1 Caddy ever built from Germany and one of the best Mk3 Jettas around anywhere in the shape of David Arendt’s VR in the same mag as a sorted T5 Bus, as well as show reports from Early Edition and DubShed too. We mean really, what more could you ask for? And let’s not forget our cover star either, Project Blue. Last year the American modified VW scene lost one of its most popular members when Alexi deRochambeau passed away. The story of his Project Blue Mk3 didn’t end there though, in fact, it was just the beginning of the next chapter! So there you have it, PVW July 2012.
