08 USE CURVES ON MASKS IN CAMERA RAW

►► This may seem like a minor improvement, but it’s one we absolutely love. You can now use Curves in combination with masking in Camera Raw (but not in Lightroom yet). So you can, for example, automatically select the subject with a mask, then apply a Tone Curve just to boost the subject. Of course, you can also use the different color channels within Curves to fine-tune the colors or add creative color shifts. Curves is hands-down the most power ful tonal tool in Photoshop, so the ability to use it on our local adjustments is a huge bonus.
