Richmond Lam, who photographed Geneviève Godbout for this month’s cover story, is a portrait and lifestyle photographer based in Canada and Hong Kong. His subjects have included Xavier Dolan, the Kids in the Hall, Grimes, and Arcade Fire, for such clients as Vice, The Globe and Mail, Monocle, and Printed Pages.
Megan Haynes is a Toronto-based writer and editor. Her work has appeared in Chatelaine, Fast Company, the Toronto Star, Metro News, and more. This issue, she writes about University of Toronto Press’s expansion plans (p. 7).
Simon Bredin is a graduate of the University of Toronto, where he got his start in journalism at the campus newspaper, The Varsity. After graduating, he worked as a fellow at The Walrus, before pursuing a masters degree in journalism at Ryerson University, where he won the Douglas Creighton Award for outstanding coverage of municipal affairs. In 2015, he joined the staff of Toronto Life. He writes about Justin Ling’s forthcoming book on the victims of alleged serial killer Bruce McArthur (p. 10).
