The 50th anniversary of the first ever FISA Junior Regatta, held at Lithuania’s Trakai course, produced a new and very appropriate American hero. Two months before the world comes to his hometown in Florida, Sarasotan schoolboy Clark Dean took the junior championships by storm, clinching the USA’s first ever JM1x title a mere 150 minutes after competing in the junior coxed fours’ final.
