Someone forgot to put the octopus costume on.
BLU-RAY DEBUT It seems doubtful that Steven Spielberg has ever seen this Italian-made Jaws knock-off, but it might have left him thinking of his mechanical Great White and declaring, “Come back, Bruce, all is forgiven.”
In deciding to make his aquatic menace a giant octopus, director Ovidio G Assonitis bit off more than he could chew (much like Bruce). Variously represented by fake tentacles, a prop head poking out of the water or a real octopus wrapped around a tiny model boat, it’s risible in every form.
