The Brood ★★★✩ is as close as he gets to autobiography, taking the stress of divorce and a custody battle and transmuting it into body horror. Well, it’s cheaper than therapy. Oliver Reed plays the shrink peddling “psychoplasmics”, a cultish technique which encourages patients to physically manifest their feelings; Art Hindle the father who learns that his estranged wife (Samantha Eggar) can do so to deadly effect…
