WTF IS THE SHAZAM BAND?

Is it a wearable for identifying songs?

You’ve just described pretty much any smartwatch, but it’s easy to see where you’ve got confused. The Shazam Band wouldn’t recognise Devil Woman if Cliff sang directly to it, and it’s not designed to be worn by humans… but if you’ve ever wished your pet could reply when you talk to it, this voice-activated smart collar is the stuff of dreams. It has a built-in microphone and speaker, and thousands of lines of pre-recorded dialogue, using machine learning to “understand your pet’s emotions” –so while it’s not quite as conversational as a wearable Alexa, it should be clever enough to make Up-style talking dogs a thing.
