A purple mood
“Four wildebeest amble across the skyline in the full flush of the false dawn. Any camp or lodge that states ‘arise at dawn’ should be avoided at all costs as the Mara’s treasure trove is accessed long before sunrise. We found these ruminants just on the edge of the Reserve-Olare Conservancy border and lay on the ground to get some sky beneath their bellies and some dew-clad cotton soil beneath ours. No early or indeed late colours are ever the same in the Mara and always worth getting an alarm call for.”
