Official WLTP fuel economy test results can often be misleading – a belief supported by recent high-level EU reports that suggest some models’ figures are up to 23% higher than what’s achievable in realworld use. Our tests are carried out under laboratory conditions to ensure repeatability, but they’re based on a real-world driving route that takes into account a wide range of road conditions.
