TV soap star, Michelle Collins, has swapped Walford and Weatherfield for the stage. She’s currently touring the UK in a new stage version of Thoroughly
Modern Millie. ‘I’m the evil Mrs Meers, determined to sell the orphaned Dorothy into the white slave trade. It’s such fun playing a baddie!’ The title role is taken by Joanne Clifton, still basking in the warmth of winning Strictly with Ore Oduba, in the part Julie Andrews made famous in the 1967 film. Given Michelle’s high profile, it seems surprising we haven’t seen her on Strictly.
