Are real-life running coaches better than working with a remote one?
With the cost-of-living crisis, many runners are now turning to ‘cheaper’ alternatives than working one-to-one with a coach, but are remote options as effective?

I will start by saying that even if you have a real-life running coach it’s unlikely they will be present with you for every single session you do. Nor will you need them to be. So, there is always an element of a hybrid working relationship. Everybody is different and requires different coaching methods, so it’s important to work out what type of person you are and what you want to achieve from having a coach.
