Women’s Running  |  August 2020

Now that lockdown is beginning to ease off, for us runners that means there’s only one question: when can we race again? This issue we spoke to race directors of both huge (London!) events and smaller, local ones to discover what they thought the future of racing events would look like. Will there be social distancing? Will we need to wear masks? How many people will be able to run? And will the London Marathon go ahead as planned on 4 October? We had all those questions and more. But life isn’t all about racing – it’s also about training; and where would be right now if it wasn’t for Strava helping our training along? We went under the bonnet of all its new features to find out what else Strava can do for us. We also had a look at our muscles, and how we can better fuel them and flex them to run better, and for longer. And in our kit reviews, we knocked back a lot of supplements to see which we thought performed best, tested some minimal shoes – and some maximal new releases – and the very best headphones for running. With a training plan to get you back on track, advice on wellbeing and nutrition, and inspiration by the bucketload we’ve got your back.

From workout guides and injury prevention to nutritious food recipes and trendy running gear, Women’s Running magazine is ideal for both beginner and regular women runners. With a goal to inspire, support and motivate all women runners, Women’s Running is the most informative and insightful reading companion when it comes to getting the most out of your run.
