Compared to the last 30 years, the UK has
been positively spoiled by WWE over the past
12 months.
There’s been Clash at the Castle in Wales, and
now London has just hosted Money in the
Bank. Surely there won’t be anything bigger
than that?
Well, perhaps, and when I say perhaps, I
mean almost definitely, the UK is set to host a
WrestleMania in the next couple of years.
During the aforementioned Money in the
Bank Premium Live Event, John Cena
made a shocking appearance, and cut a
promo in which he basically promised a UK
WrestleMania in the next few years. Cena
spoke about how the guys in the back don’t
believe the UK could host a WrestleMania,
but do you know who does believe in the UK?
John Cena.
It’s deeply unlikely that WWE would have
sanctioned Cena to go out and tease a UK
WrestleMania unless it was actually planned,
and really, there’s only one stadium in the UK
that could host ‘Mania.
That is of course Wembley Stadium, the
home of English football with a capacity of
90,000.
You may recall another, start-up promotion
called AEW is already running Wembley
Stadium in August, and there have been
plenty of people suggesting WWE wasn’t
planning on holding WrestleMania in
the UK until AEW made their Wembley
announcement.
Not only will it almost certainly be at
Wembley Stadium, you can be sure that
WWE will somehow announce an attendance
larger than is physically possible, just to
really rub it in AEW’s faces.
Anyway, enough negativity, because there’s
no doubt a UK ‘Mania would be phenomenal,
and let’s face it, it’s way overdue.

Solid app, works well on Nexus 7 - seamless magazine/subscription ordering and a free magazine within the price of the app. Needs to improve descriptions and contents of each issue, I expect this will improve in time. Reviewed 24 November 2012
