Your writing starts with you. That’s the message of this month’s Writing Magazine – and it’s something we believe in with a passion. For all but the most jaded and cynical hacks-for-hire, writing is a creative pursuit and for many of us, the pure joy in creative self-expression is its own reward – though of course we’re also delighted when it leads to publication, prizes, recognition and above all, the understanding that all those hours of scribbling and effort have been validated. You are the source of your best ideas; only you can write like you – your individual ideas and experiences are what gives your writing its unique flavour.
