Novel Ideas
The write company
Someone who gets it makes all the difference, says Lynne Hackles
When you’re a writer you need another writer to share successes with, or to have a good moan to. Ordinary people don’t understand our problems but other writers do.
I’ve discovered this works really well if you’re both struggling with novels. Simon Whaley, my friend and colleague, occasionally visits me but, as we live a distance from each other, we frequently exchange emails in which we discuss life in general and novel writing in particular.
