Fifteen-minute radio plays are invited for the BBC Essex Playwright of the Year which offers three playwrights the opportunity to have their plays recorded for broadcast on BBC Essex later in the year.
You must be over the age of eighteen to submit a script and be resident in the UK, including the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. Scripts must have an Essex connection and should not be an account of real historical or current events. The personal details of any living person, including yourself, should not be used.
You can enter as an individual or a group but only one entry is permitted and all submissions must be original and not have been previously performed or produced. Judges will be looking for originality, plot, storytelling, suitability for radio listening, creative use of location, writing technique and enjoyment.
