With very necessary conversations going on around diversity in publishing, it’s worth looking thinking about the life’s work of African American children’s author Eloise Greenfield, who died in August aged 92. When Greenfield published her first book, Bubbles, in 1972, it was rare for a Black child to see themselves, or their families, represented in a book.
