Latest figures show a fall in off ensive weapons crimes across Argyll and Bute.
In 2007/08, there were 14 cases of handling off ensive weapons per 10,000 of the population in Argyll and Bute. In 2016/17, that figure had dropped by 79 per cent to three per 10,000.
Commenting, Argyll and Bute MSP Michael Russell said: ‘This is welcome news and proves that the SNP’s approach to issues such as knife crime is paying dividends for our communities across Argyll and Bute.
