DUNAVERTY’S golfers blew away the Christmas cobwebs on a cool and windy day as the second round of the club’s Christmas and New Year competition teed off.
On Monday January 2, 15 golfers battled it out to claim the title of Christmas champion.
First man out, Bill Brannigan, played one of his best games to date and managed to post a scratch 76, giving him a nett 65. This clinched him the Captain’s prize of a bottle of malt whisky, just the tonic for warming up after a winter’s day on the course.
