Southend sweep the table at woman’s rural institute’s show

MEMBERS of a Kintyre women’s institute dominated the Argyll Federation’s show in Campbeltown.

Southend scored more than twice as many points with 619 than Appin on 296 to win the Large Institute Shield.

The branch also won the Houston trophy for community best entry and individual member Eve Taylor won two trophies: the J Mc-Kenzie Trophy Housewives Guild and Kilbride Trophy (Small Arrangement).
