Canal Boat | Jun-25
Yet another emergency closure, this time at Tardebigge, leads the news this month. A preview of the upcoming Crick Show is next followed by the Boat Test in which Adam and Andy test Grey Heron which is the 125th boat made by Kingsground. Our reader photos are next and then Martin tells us about an interview he had with CRT Chief Executive Richard Parry on the future of our inland waterways. Martin’s Cruise Guide is next which this month is the final part of the Thames Ring and this month features the route from Windsor to Banbury. Then Martin’s Cruise Guide Extra has him walking along Maidenhead waterways. Claire Leavey is doing some much needed remedial work on her boat restoration next and then we have an interesting feature from Mike and Julie Blenkinsop who tell the story of a salvage team who rescued a sinking canal tugboat from the River Ouse back in 2007. Tim Coghlan follows with the final part of a couple who have moored at Braunston Marina for almost 60 years.
