A husband happily builds his wife her dream coop.

My husband is not a DIY guy or even what you would call a handyman. He is a software engineer who enjoys writing code, solving puzzles and reading technical books. But he put all of that aside, picked up a saw and tape measure, and leapt boldly (and willingly!) into the unknown to build a chicken coop for me, his animal-crazy wife!

We designed for months as he patiently - and sometimes not so patiently - sifted and sorted through my many desires and requests: I wanted to be able to stand inside. I needed the ducks to be separate from the chickens. I had to have lots of natural light. There must be good airflow! You get the picture, right?
