MANX VINCENT
John Newson is one of those larger-than-life characters who is not only a great bike builder, but also a motorcycle workshop owner, a classic car enthusiast, a vintage DJ and one of the UK’s leading exponents of Lindy Hop dancing. We covered his last build, ‘Norlake’, a superb Norton-framed Weslake V-twin café racer, only a few months ago (CB July 2018), but since then he’s been busy on the road as well as in the workshop. Early this year he bought another Vincent a Rapide, which he’s been touring on in the Welsh mountains and Devon, but he’s also spent hours in the workshop building this delightful Norvin. John is also a great storyteller so we’ll leave him to tell you the tale behind this great bike.
