Ali Campbell says his new studio album is all the more poignant following the death of bandmate Astro.
Unprecedented by UB40 Featuring Ali Campbell & Astro, is released on 17 June and was recorded before Astro passed away last November. “Astro’s death came as such a shock, I’m still reeling from it,” explains Ali. “This album is now more poignant and special than either of us could have imagined when we were recording it. This is a way of keeping his memory alive.”
