Salone
MOOSIC US
The son of a Sierra Leone diplomat, Bai Kamara Jr was transplanted from the war-torn West African nation before the serious shit went down. But on Salone – the title is the Krio name for his homeland – the now Belgiumbased bluesman looks back to his roots, fusing Western shapes with African percussion, and segueing from first-world concerns like the trials of the school run to the aftermath of civil war.
