WELCOME
Sadly, it seems as though I’m having to write these sorts of things on this page far too regularly of late. I’m terribly sad to have to report that during the making of this month’s issue the rock world lost not only one its greatest contemporary drummers, but also a gent and musician who, with every fibre of his being, loved rock as much as we do – the ultimate ‘Mister Fanboy’, as The Police’s Stewart Copeland so aptly called him. I’m talking, of course, about Taylor Hawkins, Foo Fighters’ man behind the kit and so much more. We pay tribute to him from page 24.
