Classic Scooterist  |  129 - October/November 2019
Now the August Bank Holiday weekend is a distant memory it’s time to reflect on the golden (and not so golden) moments. Although there were localised rallies all over the UK, the two main scooter events were both held on the south coast.
Did you attend either – and if so, which one?
In this issue we have overviews of both the New Untouchables Brighton Mod Weekender and the Isle of Wight International Scooter Rally. The scooter fraternity is divided by both these events and normally we wouldn’t have the resources to cover both, as they happen over the same time period, but luckily (for us anyway) Cris Davis of www.suityourselfmodernists.com volunteered to help out – so thanks for that mate.
The downside is that this puts pressure on editorial space, and with the influx of articles that coincides with the height of the riding season, this inevitably means lack of available space. Consequently, there’s a few articles that we’ve had to hold over.
Increase the number of pages, I hear you say, but that costs money in a variety of areas like page design, printing and additional postage (economic situations that any bonafide newstrade publication with any decent sized circulation figures has to deal with). So I’m afraid it’s that age old chestnut being played again.
Sorry, but normal service will resume as soon as possible.
