How do I limit startup programs in Windows?

Windows seems to keep adding programs that launch automatically when I boot my PC. Is there a program that can help me override this?

A Yes, try HiBit Startup Manager (www.snipca.com/52699). Click ‘Installable version’ and if you see a ‘Windows protected your PC’ message click
‘More info’ followed by ‘Run anyway’ (it’s safe to install). Launch it to see every program that’s set to start with your PC. These are split into categories based on where the startup entries have been installed in your system. To stop a program running on startup, select it so it appears in the box at the bottom ( 1 in our screenshot), then click the Delete button 2 followed by Yes.
