EBay sellers are threatening to boycott the site after it forced private sellers to use the company’s Simple Delivery method to post most items priced over £10 or weighing over 100g.
The company said the service is an “all-in-one delivery solution” that makes the process smoother and saves customers money.
When you list an item via Simple Delivery, eBay recommends the size and weight of the item. The seller needs to confirm this is correct before they can post it. Once items are sold, eBay sends sellers a digital QR code and prepaid printable label. They then choose which to use, and either take the item to their courier’s nearest pick-up location or book a home collection.
