Acoustic Drums
We’ve got a huge set of features designed to help you get a great acoustic drum sound, but you can always use these samples instead! Robbie from Cyclick samples says…
“This set of samples utilises an acoustic drum kit (kick, snare, rack tom, floor tom, hi-hats, ride cymbal and crash cymbal), a bunch of mics/preamps and seven tempos. For each tempo, the kit was tweaked a little (tom and snare tuning) and then 30 minutes’ drumming was put down, sifted through for one- or two-bar nuggets and mixed. A second kit was set up with just the room mics brutalised with UAD 1176s along with the overheads and Super Stereo Ear (see below) and kick drum speaker mic tucked in behind. This is a heavy, squashed sound which works great so long as the ride cymbal isn’t used, so those beats are left out from the Crushed Room Mics folder.”
