Julie’s Springtime tips

Ever since Julie was a young girl, living on a farm with a menagerie of animals was a wish she held close to her heart. Now she’s is living out her childhood dream. She treasures everyday life with her husband, three sons and beloved animals, and enjoys her countryside haven with a thankful heart.

1. Around this time of year, I love repurposing garden or farm items as planters. For example, fi lling a rustic galvanized chicken waterer with lilacs fresh from the garden. A French market basket looks beautiful fi lled with fl owers and hung from an old farmhouse door.

2. Greenery on shelves also provides the sense of new life that is associated with spring. You don’t have to go out and buy new things to decorate for each season. Simple seasonal touches can be brought in from nature.
