Pretty Chic
One designer shares her secrets to remodeling a kitchen with lasting appeal.

Holding onto her dream of a light, bright kitchen, homeowner Joanna set out to finally make it happen. Then when searching Instagram for design inspiration, she stumbled upon interior designer Sara Brennan of Sara Lynn Brennan Interiors in Waxhau, North Carolina, whom she then hired to get her kitchen project underway.
But Joanna’s reality of a basic, builder-grade kitchen with dark cabinetry, beige countertops and not enough natural lighting was far from what she truly wanted. And Sara was determined to make the kitchen an equally beautiful and functional space for this Fort Mill, South Carolina, family of three.
