Backwoods Creek are one of the UK’s up and coming country bands
Long-devoted fans of country in the UK will remember the International Festivals of Country Music held at Wembley Arena from the late 1960s, when the likes of Conway Twitty, George Hamilton IV and Tammy Wynette were visitors. The Country Music Association (UK) started around that time and has been the BCMA in its current form since 2006. Its members “receive newsletters with updates on tours of both international and homegrown artists, discounts for various services offered by sponsors and events supported by the BCMA featuring some of the best up and coming UK artists.” Every November, it holds its annual awards and it was after the latest one that we caught up with CEO BJ Thomas…
