Red Rooster
Iwas happy to see a pattern in issue 393 that includes a hobby that I enjoy – chickens! I have been redecorating my craft area and there are no clocks close to my space and when I saw the Rooster Clock, I thought why not stitch this? I love the long tail feathers, which were fun to stitch because of their flow and blue hues. The outlining is always a challenge for me because it can become tedious but I found a rhythm and loved the detail it gave the wheat. I currently have one rooster and 10 hens. I only get to work on cross stitch a few hours a week but this was completed within two weeks. I usually stitch in the evening after my kids have gone to bed. My quiet time!
