Pilot peer programme launched
BAA Training has become the first approved training organisation (ATO) to start a pilot peer support programme that’s aimed at both its student pilots and instructors.
With a focus on emotional health, the training provider cites the many stresses of preparation for becoming a pilot, while instructors are dealt a high level of overall responsibility. Additionally, other factors including personal suffering, grief, conflicts or family problems are available for professional, confidential support allowing guidance for “proper decision-making”. Students will be offered a pilot peer support programme from day one of their flight training.
