A BIRD strike has damaged the first Airbus A321neo delivered to Dutch low-cost carrier Transavia. The incident happened on January 9, 2024, as the month-old airframe, PH-YHZ (c/n 11702), approached Faro airport, operating flight HV5355.
The aircraft remained on the ground at Faro until January 13, when it returned to Amsterdam/ Schiphol. It re-entered service the following day, performing flight HV6003 to Porto.
