We’ve all seen them – those stunning shots that show the world in motion in the form of star trails. These beautiful images are peppered with the stars of the Milky Way, as well as the eerie green glow of the northern lights snaking across the skies. They may look immensely difficult to shoot, but the good news is that this part of astrophotography is perhaps the easiest. Not only that, but you only need the bare minimum kit and know-how to get decent results. Of course, you won’t get perfect images to rival those of seasoned astrophotographers straight away, but with plenty of practice and patience, you too could gradually get to their standard.
