What better way to escape a fast-paced lifestyle than heading to the country? When designer Stephen Saint-Onge and his family sought a rustic refuge from New York City, a country home in the called out to them. But their weekend getaway didn’t look like a picture-perfect family home when they first found it. After plenty of renovations, such as opening up the kitchen, adding a welcoming front porch and putting in stone fireplaces, the structure of the home started to inspire its interior.
