The funeral of Alesha MacPhail was attended by hundreds of mourners to remember the six-year-old who was killed while on holiday on the Isle of Bute.
During the service, held near Alesha’s home in Coatbridge, mourners – who were asked to wear pink in her honour – heard tributes from people close to Alesha, including an emotional speech from her uncle Calum MacPhail, who described her as ‘the brightest thing’.
He said: ‘Alesha would rather hurt than you, she had a great amount of love for absolutely everyone.’
