A TOP piping school has officially recognised the contribution of Dugald B MacNeill, originally from Ardrishaig.
Dugald, 86, is a former director of the College of Piping, based in Glasgow, and in recognition of his retirement he was invited to the city chambers last week for an informal reception with Lord Provost Sadie Docherty.
Dugald was one of the first pupils through the doors of the College of Piping in the 1940s and went on to become an instructor, principal and director of the institution.
