Arran scenes selected as location for feature film

The picturesque beauty of Arran continues to attract holiday makers, visitors and now, increasingly, film makers who are attracted to the island for its stunning scenery. The latest release, which is shot on Arran and called Cold-Blooded Killers, tells the story of two hitmen who visit the island to carry out a contract, but they ultimately fall in love with the island and the seductive pace of life, taking the story into an entirely new direction.

Lamlash Green, Holy Isle, the ferry, Lochranza, and many other locations familiar to Arran residents feature prominently in the film which also uses a drone to capture panoramic views that showcase the unspoiled beauty of Arran landscapes.

Writer, producer, director and editor David Wilde said: ‘As well as the leads and support actors, the Isle of Arran is the star of this film. It’s been referred to as a miniature Scotland which is another reason I set the film there.’ A trailer of the film can be seen at www.cbkfilm.com/ while the full feature can be viewed on Amazon Prime.
