Arran Banner stalwart dies

The man who was the linchpin at the Arran Banner for more than quarter of a century has died following a long illness.

Howard Driver, who was 70, worked at the Banner for 28 years, originally in production when he joined the paper in 1985 and later as a feature writer, before becoming a full-time reporter and photographer when The Oban Times group took over the title in 2003.
