The annual meeting of the ferry committee took just nine minutes this week. A dull resume of the past year, a brief financial statement, an unopposed reelection of the independent traveller representative and that was it. The chairman says its ‘business as usual’ but how would we know?
A full 12 months has passed since there were demands for the ferry committee to be more open and transparent. What has changed? Nothing. Its meetings remain in private and the members, except one, unelected.
We can only trust they have the best interests of the travelling public at heart.
