Shiskine Burns Supper

Shiskine paid tribute to Scotland’s favourite Bard at their annual Burns Supper where, in a time honoured tradition, visitors celebrated by reciting some of Robert Burns’s works while enjoying a traditional Scottish meal and whisky and the fine company of members of the local community and visitors.

Organised by the Shiskine Hall Committee, and involving many members of the community, the event is held every two years and raises funds for the upkeep and running of the hall.

Addressing the audience of more than 60 attendees, chairman Charles Currie welcomed the visitors and handed the proceedings over to speakers Iain Currie, Fiona Hume and Nicol Hume.
